Memorial held for policemen killed in quake relief mission

The memorial ceremony for three policemen is held at a revolutionary martyr mausoleum in Lixian County, Aba Prefecture, southwest Chinas Sichuan Province, July 3, 2008. Thousands of people attended the memorial ceremony of three martyrs in the quake. Three policemen, called Chen Jian, Zhao Xiang and Tang Chao, were killed when their aircraft crashed on a quake relief mission on May 31. The Mi-171 helicopter was carrying injured civilians when it crashed in the mountains in turbulence on a return trip from Lixian County to Chengdu in quake-hit Sichuan Province.
