Heralding this selfless spirit, more than 200 party members attended a voluntary blood donation drive in Lujiang in eastern China on Thursday to mark World Red Cross Day, Xinhua News Agency reports.

Celebrated on May 8 every year, World Red Cross Day marks the birth of Henry Dunant, the founder of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
